Jake Paul is back in the ring Saturday — just not against the opponent he'd originally planned for.
Paul is taking on former UFC fighter "Platinum" Mike Perry at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, after his fight against Mike Tyson, originally scheduled for Saturday night, was postponed. Rather than sit idly, Paul opted to keep the July fight date and fight Perry, who currently competes in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
Paul has risen to boxing stardom in recent years, taking on everyone from professional boxers to UFC legends to YouTubers and bringing his legion of young fans along with him every step of the way.
Perry, who will be the fifth MMA fighter Paul has faced in the ring, has boxed professionally just once, almost a decade ago. Perry does hold a 5-0 record in BKFC, while he went 7-8 in the UFC.

The Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry fight card will kick off at 8 p.m. CT. The ring walks for Paul-Perry are expected to take place at approximately 11 p.m. CT.

When is Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight date?
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul were originally scheduled to fight Saturday, but an injury to Tyson caused a postponement.
The fight was not canceled though — it merely has been moved back to Nov. 15.
The fight still will take place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas and stream live on Netflix, free for all subscribers. The co-main event rematch between undisputed junior welterweight champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano remains the chief support for the main event.

Jake Paul fight record
Jake Paul is 9-1, with six wins coming by knockout.
Paul made his professional boxing debut in 2020, scoring a first-round knockout of YouTuber Ali Eson Gib. He went on to defeat former UFC fighters Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva before securing a highly anticipated matchup against Tommy Fury, brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
Fury handed Paul his first career loss, but Paul returned to beat former UFC fighter Nate Diaz before securing two first-round knockout wins against lower level professional boxers in his last two fights. Those wins set Paul up for the blockbuster bout against Tyson before it was postponed to November.
Mike Perry fight record
Mike Perry is 0-1 boxing professionally, suffering a knockout loss to Kenneth McNeil in 2015.
While Perry has boxed professionally only once, he was a backup opponent for Dillon Danis ahead of Danis' October bout against Paul's brother, Logan. Danis made it to fight night and Perry was not needed to fill in.
Perry is known for his exploits in the octagon rather than the ring, though. Perry fought in the UFC until 2021, going 7-8. Upon the expiration of Perry's UFC contract, he signed a deal with BKFC in October 2021 and has appeared five times, going 5-0 with three knockout wins.
