Chris Avila dominates Anthony Pettis in seventh straight win

Winner: Avila (58-56, 59-55 and 59-55)

Analysis: Avila, a former mixed-martial-arts fighter himself, beat Pettis for his seventh-straight win in a light heavyweight fight. Avila, from Stockton, California, just like the Diaz brothers, is ready for bigger competition and more than six-round fights.

Anthony Pettis needs a stoppage to win

If Pettis doesn't knock out Avila or get the referee to stop it, he's way too far behind to win.

Anthony Pettis fights back in Round 4

Pettis came out after a bad third round and landed a bunch of shots to start the fourth round, but Avila fought back at the end the round. Pettis doesn't have much momentum and looks gassed as Avila is now landing body shots regularly.

Chris Avila continues to land against Anthony Pettis

Avila continued to land overhand rights in the fourth round against Pettis, but neither fighter has scored a two-point round.

Chris Avila makes Round 2 statement

Pettis and Avila traded jabs, a few body shots and even one or two head shots as neither controlled the first round. Judges will have a hard time judging the first round.

Nate Diaz walkout song

Diaz does not use the same walkout song for every fight. He used the Rolling Stones iconic "Gimme Shelter" for his pro boxing debut in a loss against Jake Paul.

Jorge Masvidal walkout song

Masvidal uses the theme song from Al Pacino's "Scarface" as his walkout music. The Miami-born Masvidal beat Nate Diaz in 2019 in the UFC. The fight was stopped in the third round because Diaz had too much damage to his eye.

Curmel Motin dominates and stops Nikolai Buzolin

Motin owned the first round and dropped Buzolin with a heavy body shot in the first round. Motin then beat Buzolin who fought back, but the fight was stopped by the referee in the second round. Motin, half the age of the 36-year-old Buzolin is still undefeated.

Lightweight: Devin Cushing vs. Manny Correa

Winner: Devin Cushing defeats Manny Correa via unanimous decision (77-75, 78-74, 80-72)

Analysis: Neither fighter landed much in the first round. By the middle of the second, Cushing had landed 16 strikes to Correa's five. Cushing took over the fight in the second and third rounds, but it's an eight round fight. Correa has swelling above his left eye after incidental contact with Cushing. The referee had to stop the fight before the end of the third round to remind the fighters to stay professional.

Correa threw his highest volume of punches in the fourth round, but Cushing ended the round in dominant fashion. Cushing should be well ahead on the judges' scorecards.

Cushing dominated the fifth round while Correa showboated in the corner, trying to draw Cushing into a battle.

Cushing is controlling the fight and will only need to stay on his feet to win while Correa is coming forward with power in the late rounds. Correa celebrated in the corner after the fight, but everything including the punch stats points to Cushing winning. Correa didn't land a single body punch in the fight.

Welterweight: Alan Sanchez vs. Luis Lopez

Winner: Lopez defeats Sanches via unanimous decision (77-75, 77-75, 77-75)

Analysis: Lopez and Sanchez were both far more conservative in the first round than Dunn or Costa was in the last fight. Neither landed anything huge, but a few strong body shots were felt on both sides.

By the fifth round, both fighters looked gassed. Lopez's hands were moving more quickly, but Sanchez was knockout hunting and successfully landed two scathing jabs to the face and a nasty right hook to Lopez's ribs.

The two traded hits for the fight's final three rounds, but neither could land a knockout blow.

Heavyweight: Steven Dunn vs. Gabriel Aguilar Costa

Winner: Costa defeats Dunn via second-round KO

Analysis: The fighters traded wild haymakers before the first 30 seconds of the fight had elapsed. The rest of the first rounded retained that frenetic pace, and at the end of it both fighters looked tired but not that hurt.

Toward the end of the second round, both fighters looked exhausted but Dunn more so. Acosta teed off on him for about 30 seconds against the ring before Dunn finally went down, staying on the ground until the official finished counting and called the fight.
